for a new contest on TRLevel.de? If yes, you now have the chance to vote on the theme.
There are 3 themes at choice. Every member (also guests) have one vote and may choose one theme.
When the poll is over, we will start doing the material for the winning theme.
Then, when building phase starts, every builder who wants to make a level can join. Every builder may join, if you speak English or German does not matter nor of you are beginner or pro, the whole thing is just meant to be fun...
There is no exact date for the start of the building phase, yet. Later there will be a poll about this as well where you can choose one of 3 given dates.
The whole thing will run like "Back to Basics" Contest. That means material like WAD, TGA and audios will be provided. Of course there will be some guidelines as well because such a contest needs certain rules one have to observe so everything runs fine.
Here a hint which engine will be used for all interested:
The new NG Engine by Paolone will be used but there will be a few rules because the NG Engine is very big and complex. These rules will limit the extent a bit.
However I think building will still be fun, first you can achieve a lot of new ideas that wouldn't be possible without NG Engine and second you can decide how the material will look like. Because you can suggest objects for the wad and so on.
As you can see the contest serves the builder's needs. We (the TRLevel team) hope that some people will join again like last time with the South Pacific Contest.
