A co-worker of mine avised me against this movie, because she watched it, but she didn't like it. I didn't watched "Hunger Games" too, because I think it was mundane.
Otherwise I enjoyed an Australian movie "Tomorrow, when the war began" (the italian title was: "Il domani che verrà"): it was a "teen movie", but I enjoyed that story.
Good enough "I Am Number Four" ("Sono il numero quattro") too.
But I have never heard about sequels of these two movies, even if both should have to be the first of a series of films.

Devo dire che quando ho visto il trailer l'inizio con i protagonisti spaesati (none of them knows where they are or how they got there) mi ha ricordato il canadese "Cube" (il Cubo)

Non so perchè, anche dallo spot in tv, non mi attira molto questo film, ma magari vedendolo potrei ricredermi visto che invece mi è piaciuto parecchio Hunger Games
C'è da dire però che anche rispetto al libro il film è molto peggiore, hanno stravolto vari elementi della trama e gli eventi vengono raccontati in ordine diverso, oltre che con meno profondità e phatos. Inoltre hanno anticipato dal secondo libro il dispositivo per trovare gli altri numeri, probabilmente avrebbero poi dovuto stravolgere anche un eventuale secondo film

In effetti, anche se non ho letto il libro, mi è sembrato che il film non raggiungesse in pathos promesso dall'inizio (quando qualcosa raggiunge il ragazzo nella giungla e lo elimina senza pietà). Comunque decisamente meglio dei vampiri che sbrillucciacno!
Maggiore è invece il coinvolgimento psicologico con i personaggi de "Il domani che verrà", ma anche per questo non ho sentito parlare di sequel (e credo che pure questo sia tratto da una serie di romanzi cosiddetti "di formazione", legati cioè al passaggio tra l'adolescenza e l'età adulta).
