Great idea!!! I need some english exercise!
What about Lara? Well, I knew this character (a co-worker of mine was a fan!), but I had never played Tomb Raider before buying it as an attached to a newspaper gadget: I thought I wasn't able to move my fingers on keyboard so fast to play a videogame.
I was wrong, of course!
Some women don't like Lara Croft (she's excessively curvy, they say), but I founded what's I had been waiting for a long: when I was a child I was very fond of adventures and mysteries (movies, serials, novels, comics), but everywhere heroes were only men and main female features with which I could identify or empathize were very very rare.
I thought I was "strange", in fact also toys seemed to shape childrens' imagination: boys had "Big Jim" (a soldier
, a secret agent
, a cow-boy
living adventures everywhere) and girls had "Barbie" (a handsome, fair and very rich pin-up, who spended her useless life in boring fashion shows, wearing trendy and expensive clothes, or hanging around with jet-set society's silly boys and girls
).
In present days Lara is very rich and very handsome, but she continuously lives amazing adventures searching legendary artefacts all over the world: at last I found the feature to empathize with!!!
I think what I wrote is full of "Himalayan burlies" (as Indians are used to name very gross errors!) Please correct me!!!
