Storia
Set shortly after the events of the Forgotten Sewers, Lara begins her next adventure from the (partial) comfort of her own home, before setting out to a familiar looking environment in Greece in search of clues to the specific location of the Dragon King's domain in China.
This is my 3rd TRLE and continues Lara's adventures that began back in The Lost Tomb. While I did intend for the next custom levelset to be using TR2X, I wanted to wait until TombEditor got full TR2X support. This started as a simple re-creation of the TR2 Mansion in TR1 as a test, which very quickly got out of hand when I started making my own additions to the mansion, and the rest is history!
I thoroughly enjoyed writing up the story for this, weaving in some elements from TR1 and coming up with ideas for my own spin on a new TR2 story which I hope people will enjoy in future levels.
This TRLE makes heavy use of item inspection, ledge jumping and sprinting mechanics to solve some timed puzzle areas. The difficulty significantly ramps up in the 2nd level; patience when platforming is key and exploration for ammo and medipacks is vital if you want to survive.
By default, sprint is bound to the . key
To ledge jump up, hold forwards while grabbing a ledge and press jump
To ledge jump backwards, hold back while grabbing a ledge and press jump
If you're interested in some silly story beats and an extra 20 minute stint in Lara's Home, read the attached readme and start there. Otherwise, jump straight into a new game!
