Quando capiremo tutto questo?
Abbiamo veramente bisogno tutti di cambiare...se no vedremo queste orribili pagine di storia che ognuno di noi è responsabile di stare scrivendo ripetersi all'infinito in una spirale di terrore e tristezza che ci allontanerà dal vero traguardo di ognuno - Pace.
Penso che sia doveroso rendere omaggio a coloro che sono morti in quell'ignobile attentato dell'11 Settembre del 2001 - indipendentemente dal fatto che senta ancora gente (altrettanto ignobile) dire che "gli Americani se lo meritavano". La morte e la violenza non sono mai giustificabili né giustificate, da nessuna parte. Sono morte così tante persone, le vite di così tanti sono state cambiate per sempre che nessuno ha il diritto di dimenticare e tutti hanno il dovere morale di ricordare...cosicché le prossime pagine di storia non parlino più di atrocità del genere.
Il mio repertorio musicale, lo ammetto, è un po' stretto; ormai tutti sapete che amo molto Madonna. C'è una sua canzone che voglio scrivere qui oggi: si chiama History e parla proprio di quello cui stavo pensando ora mentre scrivevo queste righe. Spero che comprenderete che l'accostamento che faccio di lei a questa brutta occasione è dovuto al fatto che lei stessa ne ha scritto e cantato nelle sue canzoni, riuscendo ad esprimere quello che parole normali, senza una musica, non riescono a fare...
